Hotel Redfish is a family run hotel/pousada located in the Centro Histórico of Salvador da Bahia, Brazil , in Santo Antônio, a short stroll from the famous area of Pelourinho. It is owned and run by an English artist and his Bahian wife, in the style of a comfortable guesthouse with very spacious rooms, some with huge terraces, and probably the nicest bathrooms in Bahia. It is certainly one of the finest pousadas (guesthouses) or hotels to be found in Salvador.

Hotel Redfish has just moved to its new premises, right in front of one of Salvadors lovely churches - the Igreja do Boqueirão. The pousada has been completely rebuilt to a very high standard. The hotel/pousada aims to provide comfortable and pleasing accommodation and a friendly and helpful environment right in the centre of Salvadors historic neighbourhoods.

The bedrooms are spacious, with lovely bathrooms, kingsize beds, frigobars, large strong boxes, and telephones. The huge air-conditioned luxury rooms have private terraces with fantastic 300° views of the bay and city. The standard rooms have either small balconies and ceiling fans, or air-conditioning. The bathrooms are finished to a very high standard and have proper hot showers and good general chrome fittings which combine well with the white tiles and blue trim. They are possible the nicest bathrooms in Bahia!

The hotel serves a good hearty breakfast, with fresh bread, cakes, lovely sweet and savoury pastries, eggs prepared to order, a fine selection of local fruit, as well as fresh made fruit juice, and strong Brazilian coffee (or english tea, if you prefer), all served in our breakfast room looking onto the garden. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served between 8 and 11am (though there is usually coffee ready by 7:30am.

There is a large gallery where local and international artists will be holding exhibitions. The gallery is also furnished with sofas, tables and chairs and a computer, with a fast line, for the hotel guests use.
