Situated at the border of Novo River, in the County of Poconé, Mato Grosso. The lodge is located between a typical forest or "arueiras" and "acuris and occupies an area of 120.000 square meters at the Ecological Reserve of the Curicaca Farm, about 3 km from the Transpantaneira Road. It is formed by bays, "corixos" and natural lakes, with a breath-taking landscape of the Pantanal´s horizon.

The eco-lodge has chalets with 4 apartments each, a total of 20 guest rooms equipped with fans, private bathrooms, screened-in windows providing fresh air and veranda. The surrounding trees provide a refreshing wind.

The fully screened restaurant serves typical Pantanal meals and you can see the monkeys jumping in the trees outside and several other animals passing by. Next to that there is a small bar.

Between the activities and meals in the restaurant you can enjoy the swimming-pool to refresh.

There are many ways to see the Pantanal at the Pousada Curicaca. All outings are accompanied by local English speaking guides and include: - Hiking Trails - Where you see monkeys, caimans, hyacinth macaws, jabiru storks, toucans, rheas, ibis, coatis, capybaras, anteaters, tapirs, and other animals (even a jaguar is living in this ecological reserve)in addition to a variety of plant life; - Horseback riding - Providing the same opportunities to see plants and animals as on foot; - Jeep Safari; - Mountainbike-trips - Boat trips and piranha fishing - on the Rio Novo; - Observation Tower from where you can admire the most beautifull sunset in your life, surrounded by several animals.
