Pousada do Baguari is situated between the lakes Sia Mariana and Chacorore with in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions in the Panatanal-Norht. The region of Barão de Melgaço is distinguished by an unusual variety of landscapes being divided between hills and lakes and rivers or grassy plains. The biggest, the Baia de Chacorore, having a diameter of more than 15 km.

The nearest airport is Cuiabá, the capital of the state of Mato Grosso. The distance to Pousada Baguari is 122 km, of which 90 km unpaved road and duration of the transfer is aprox. 3.5 hours, depending on how many stops are made on the way to admire the landscape and animals.
