At a distance of 236 kilometers from Campo Grande (Mato Grosso do Sul), the Refúgio Ecológico Caiman is located on a cattle farm of 53,000 hectares and accommodates its guests in 4 comfortable pousadas. Each pousada has an independent infrastructure, different architectural styles, and all fully equipped. Caiman is a pioneer project of eco-tourism in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, gaining, over its 12 years of existence, great experience in the area of ecological tourism.

All the 29 rooms are equipped with air conditioners in the rooms, ceiling fans, private bathrooms with hot water and electric outlets adapted for 110 volts.

The kitchen in each pousada offers a varied menu that includes local and international food. Salads, pastas, meat and fish are served daily and are exquisitely prepared by cooks from the region. For dessert, besides those especially prepared, there are homemade sweets that are a real treat!

Each pousada has an outdoor swimming pool and a living room.

On the pousada, the guests are well supplied with an excellent infrastructure. There is a full-time nurse, telephone center, fax, cellular telephone antennas, motorized vehicles, a radio system which connects to all parts of the farm, and insurance for personal or group accidents, landing strip.

The tour programs are varied, including horseback rides, boat rides, trail hikes and authentic photo safaris, all guided by the Caimaners.The know-how in developing special tour programs, along with the services offered by the Caimaners, bilingual guides at a university level, specialized in the fauna and flora of the Pantanal, are important differentials of Caiman in the region, guaranteeing business quality and guest satisfaction.
