The Amazon Eco Lodge was inaugurated in 1982 and is the pioneer for sustainable tourism development in the Brazilian Biomes of the Amazon Rainforest. Situated within the Nature Safaris Private Biological Reserve ( 1000 ha of untouched primary Rainforest ) and protected since 1984, it is the best spot for a visit to the Rainforest around the Manaus area. The Amazon Lodge is located 4 hours away (80 km or 50 miles ) from Manaus, Southbank of the Amazon River,on the Parana do Mamori River system, upstream Rio Juma.

The transfers from Manaus to the Hotel and vice-versa it is divided in the two following parts: Departures daily: 6 Am or 2 Pm. (total time of transfer is about 4 hours). 1) Manaus (Airport or Hotel) - Porto of Ceasa: trip of 1/2 hour by van or microbus. 2) Port of Ceasa to the village of Careiro, by boat, about 45 minutes, going by the phenomenon of the "Meeting of the Waters." 3) Careiro village to Araçá by van at the highway for about 45 min. 4) From Araçá to the Lodge by speed boat, through the channels and streams, about 1 hour and 25 min. Daily transfers return to Manaus (Airport or hotel), arriving around 12 Am or 5 Pm.

Amazon Eco Lodge consists from a flotation central module "to open sky." There are 6 lateral flotation modules with the whole necessary infrastructure and 18 apartments, all with screens for mosquitos and two single beds, 3 central bathrooms and 3 central restrooms. Balcony and bar with nets. 32 travelers maximum capacity in double rooms. Available fans for all the rooms.

Roof top restaurant - typical architecture - rustic and all mosquito screened with a great atmosphere for experimenting delicious local cuisine.

Recreation area - a square deck, where you can swim, to take sunbathing, to read and to relax with the nature.

Reception and Bar - With comfortable sofas, nets and chairs, perfect to relax before and after the trips, or a conversation with new friends, accompanied by local dinks.
